We specialize in Japanese Style Acupuncture using gentle yet powerful techniques. For those who are very sensitive, including children under 10 years old, we use blunt tools to stimulate points or stroke the surface of the skin.

Much emphasis is focused on pulse diagnosis, palpation of the abdomen, and limbs to identify the root patterns underlying your symptoms. By identifying patterns of tightness, pain, coldness, heat, dampness, dryness, or other findings, we determine which is your weakest system and strengthen it so that it functions better. If your weakest system starts functioning better, all of you will function better and you will heal yourself. Before you leave, you will directly feel some of the changes that have occurred throughout your visit.

I love Traditional East Asian Medicine for its amazing ability to address most any condition, and its close connection to the natural world. I enjoy treating a wide variety of issues with a gentle approach to needling.

It took me some years to find this path as I always disliked needles. It was the one time watching movies that I had to cover my eyes! I then spent a couple of years in China, teaching English, traveling and cooking. I finally received acupuncture and was amazed that these weren’t the needles I was accustomed to. All during this time my father was going through chemo and radiation treatments for lymphoma. I knew there had to be alternatives to this and in Traditional East Asian Medicine I found it.

As a Reiki practitioner, my intention is to be fully present to provide you with a safe space to receive universal energy where it is most needed to promote healing and well-being.

Being of service to others brings me the greatest joy.  I spent 11 years as a social worker in Chicago IL and San Jose CA, working with children  and families, followed by a decade in Human Resources before deciding to study Traditional East Asian medicine.

I decided to focus on Reiki, giving a voice to my Japanese heritage and return to the healing modality that is most natural to me.

Reiki is a natural and safe method of holistic healing  effective in helping almost every known illness, and compliments all other medical or therapeutic techniques to promote recovery and reduce side effects.

You may experience:

  • Accelerated healing after injury or surgery
  • Reduction in acute or chronic pain
  • Better sleep -Less stress
  • Stronger immune system
  • Reduced side effects of chemotherapy and radiation treatments
  • Restored balance:  physical, emotional, mental and spiritual
